I
have devoted my life to using
the creative talents I was born with to create a life of abundance and
serve the world in the best way I can. My inspirational music has reached
out to many thousands of people worldwide. I was born in England, and
have lived a large chunk of my life in New Zealand, where my love of
the natural world developed. Nature photography sharpened my visual
senses, then later sound recordings in the forests and wild places honed
my sound appreciation. My nature photographs
adorn the covers of my CD's and tapes.
For
several years I lived in Sweden, where I had my own recording studio
in the tranquil forests of Darlana. It was pure magic... Sometimes I
could just stick a microphone out of the window and record the most
beautiful sounds of loons, cuckoo's and other wildlife.
My
main instrument is acoustic guitar. I also play synthesiser, Lakota
Native American Flute, recorder, pan pipes, digeridooo, Celtic lap harp
and ocarina. My passion for sound and its healing abilities also extend
to instrument building. I have built a number of acoustic guitars and
a Celtic harp which are used in my recordings. I now mainly focus on
building wooden flutes based on the
Lakota Native American plains style instruments.
For
the past decade I have delved deeply into the power of the voice as
a tool of personal transformation and healing. I perform and teach the
ancient art of overtone singing and other sound, breath and tone techniques
to energise body and soul in weekend
workshops or individual
tuition.
